Ebonie Little (alternate)

A New York City native, Latin percussion rhythm and the sounds of salsa were ingrained in Ebonie from a young age.

While earning her B.A. in Japanese Language & Literature at Williams College, Ebonie performed with Kusika, the College's West African dance and drumming troupe, in addition to practicing Afro-Cuban rumba and Cuban-style salsa with Ritmo Latino and Indian bhangra with Dance Dhamaka.

Ebonie left the United States in 2005 to study Japanese language and culture for a year in Kyoto, Japan. While studying abroad, she practiced in the Nishikawa School of classical Japanese dance, and in 2009 started studying in
the Azuma School of dance with Maryland's Kotobuki Kai dance troupe.

Ebonie seeks to marry her interest in the arts with administration and events management. She is fascinated by how dance can convey embodied culture and identity, believing in the power of movement to bridge understanding between different cultures.
