Nikki Strong
Nikki Strong grew up doing musical theatre -- acting singing dancing. For years, acting was her main focus, but then she got bitten by the dance bug in her late teens. She has studied all kinds of dance including but not limited to ballet, modern, jazz, Hip Hop, African, and Flamenco. In the Maryland DC area, she has performed with the dance companies Furia Flamenca, Full Circle, and Gesel Mason Performance Projects. Even though she is originally from New York, her interest and love of salsa developed in DC. She has studied with Mr. Mambo, Shaka Brown and Irene Holtzman (Clavekazi), but also attributes so many of the dancers with whom she has taken class, social danced and studied with helping her grow, including but definitely NOT limited to Orlando Muchaca and Luz Rodriguez. She is excited about building on her foundation with Mezzlocutis and Yemashun.
